World Handicap System (from 1st April 2024). The Course Handicap calculation is to be changed to include (Course Rating - Par) as part of the formula, which now reads:
Course Handicap = (Handicap Index x Slope Rating / 113) + (Course Rating - Par).
This means instead of playing to the Course Rating as your target you should aim to play to par, this is a more intuitive target. For a full WHS explanation watch the video here. Your large Handicap calculation tables on the 1st tee and outside the Pro Shop have been updated this week (brand new boards - see date note top right) so please re-check because your Course Handicap will have changed.
