John told me the other day that he saw five ants move into the bug hotel in his garden with the five ants that were already there.
He has tenants now!

June Texas Scramble.
Another scorching day saw the sensible Seniors stay at home.
Those that did brave the heat however were rewarded with a cooling breeze!
Some good golf was played and certainly everyone returned with a smile on their faces.
There was a bonus nearest the pin contest and the 'Golden Ball' was won by Jane Connor.
Nigel Connor rewarded the other two players with their name on the tag with a sleeve of balls, largesse from his birthday earlier in the week!

Who is this?

Have you heard this one ?
A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably behind it.
The boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.
The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?"
The boy made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed.
So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God!!?" Again the boy made no attempt to answer.
So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?"
The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and hid in his wardrobe. When his older brother found him, he asked, "What happened?"
The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time, dude. God is missing and they think WE did it!"

Hi all,
The day was hot and humid but 6 teams of 3, played an 18 hole Killer Stableford, multiplying all 3 scores together for each hole.
Par would have been 144 so the winners with 160 played very well!!.
Best individual scores were by Tom Wallin 41, Keith Count 39, Keith Endersby and Bren Coyle with 38.
We also played NTP on 1, 5 and 7 sponsored by Nige for his Birthday.
(I think Nigel must have celebrated a little too much as he sent me this email 5 times!)
NTP Winners were:
1st hole: Dave Milsom
5th hole: James Fisher
7th hole: Nige Connor
Team results:
1st James Fisher, Adrian Little, Keith Count 160 points
2nd Gordon Neale, Tom Wallin, Richard Jones 152 points
3rd John Byrne, Dave Milsom, Bren Coyle 130 points
4th Keith Endersby, Gordon Dobson, Nige Connor 115 points
5th James Hirst, Rob Martin, Bevan Metcalf 113 points
6th Richard Tripp, John Larch, Rod Spring 74
Individual results are available on the main club website.
I
Well done one and all.

Did I?
Play Golf or just spoil another walk?
As you walk off the course next time ask yourself the following questions:
Did I enjoy myself?
Have I signed my card?
Did I replace my divots and repair my pitch marks?
You should answer YES to them all!
